Define: Name

Name: verb (used with object): to give a name to: to name a baby.

The importance of picking out the baby’s name was surprisingly a large struggle with my husband and I. We picked, chose, crossed-out, suggested, agreed, rejected, and even came back to a few names. It wasn’t until two days ago {Sunday, March 6th, which was 26 wks day 2 of our pregnancy} that we finally came upon a name that was “the one”.

The funniest thing was, it was a name that I really liked, and one that I thought he would reject… like always. I thought nothing special of it as it stood there on the list, somewhere between Westin and Harvey, Oakley and Chase… and figured, “It’ll get looked over, just like all my favorite ones”. But oh.my.goodness. Was I ever wrong! He said,  “P******? I like that name…” and I screamed, “REALLY?!” in disbelief. And that was that. That’s our story of how we picked out our baby’s name.

The fun part is coming in a few weeks. Chad’s sister and family are putting together a baby shower for us and it will be then that the name will be revealed. In true Maynor fashion. What way would we do a reveal than with a picture?! If you remember correctly, it is how we did the gender reveal… 🙂

Just as a teaser, we did a few shots yesterday with the baby’s intials. You are all welcome to guess, as many people have… but we’re not telling. Pictures tell a thousand words, and this is the truth!! 🙂

Here is our pictures from yesterday (March 7th): 26 wks day 3.

We can’t wait to meet him! And, I hope you guys can’t wait to see more pictures!

Love to all,
Elise @ EMP
